The Driving Test

There are two sections to the Driving Test:

• The Theory Test
• The Practical Driving Test.

The Theory Test

There are two parts to the theory test, both of which are taken on the same day:

• The multiple choice part
• The hazard perception part

The learner must pass both parts to pass the Theory Test.

The Practical Driving Test

The practical driving test takes place on public roads and is designed to see if the candidate can drive safely and knows the Highway Code.

The learner's instructor will advise when the learner is ready to book the tests.
